Our Estimation document is issued following an initial consultation and discussion of the works required. It provides a prediction of pricing for your build based on current material and labour costs, while considering the level of specification and finish you require. This document forms the basis of your Quotation and allows for careful evaluation of variables and potential savings/additions that could me made before proceeding.

Your written Quotation will be finalised following receipt and discussion of the Estimation document. Consultation regarding your budget and product selection will already have taken place in order to allow for accurate costing. Once issued, the Quotation will list all agreed items and includes a final price for your project, according to our Terms and Conditions. Upon acceptance, this document forms the basis of our contract with you, allowing building work to commence if you choose to proceed. Our Quotations are valid for 30 days.

We will always provide you with timeline information, bespoke to your individual project. As a guide for smaller-scale projects that do not require extensive relocation or remedial work, the following time periods should be allowed at the construction stage: Bathroom: 2-4 weeks/ Kitchen: 4-8 weeks/Extension: 12-24 weeks (excluding concept design and planning).

Prior to any work commencing, we will set out a payment structure and service agreement in writing according to each individual project. This is clearly broken down, and aligns with our Terms and Conditions. We will agree an initial deposit (usually 20-30%), staged interim payments (as agreed) and a final payment upon satisfactory completion of work. Payments are due upon receipt of invoice and can be made via BACs, Cheque or Card. Card payments will incur a 2.5% handling fee.

Yes. Exact Design & Build and our contractors hold professional indemnity insurance up to the value of £5,000,000, to cover costs in the unlikely event something should go wrong. We advise that you inform your own home insurance provider of any planned alterations and check your level of cover before works commence. Should your insurer request to be provided with evidence of our cover, simply let us know and we’ll happily liaise with them on your behalf.

Our communication is exceptional. We may not attend site each day, but it does not mean we do not have our eye on the ball. We are constantly sourcing, purchasing, and checking behind the scenes.  It is in everybody’s best interests that our projects flow as smoothly as possible, so we will keep you up to date, ahead of time. Our clients find it incredibly helpful when we organise an ongoing What’s App group, or equivalent, as a quick and useful form of daily communication while work is taking place. Whatever your communication preference, we will agree and action this to your liking so that you are always 'in the loop' during your build.

Yes. As you would expect, all our work is implemented to meet current industry standards and building control regulations. We offer a 12 month work guarantee which ensures potential post-build issues or snags that arise will be checked and rectified as a priority, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
